THE ROOKIE GIRL

Elena is the newest recruit, being appointed to the Turks after Reno sustained injuries battling AVALANCHE in Midgar. Elena is naive, impetuous and somewhat overeager, and Reno often has to rein her in. She takes her job much more seriously than do Reno and Rude, but she seems to be worse at it than either of them, having various slips in professionalism, such as when she inadvertently revealed the Turks' mission to Cloud and the others at the Mithril Mine. She also has a crush on Tseng and holds Cloud's party accountable for the injuries he suffered from Sephiroth's attack while investigating the Temple of the Ancients, which left him disabled until long after the storyline of Final Fantasy VII was over.

Elena also appears briefly in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Her role is much less prominent than that of her partners, Reno and Rude. She spends most of the movie off-camera recovering from being tortured by Kadaj, Loz and Yazoo after retrieving Jenova's head from the Northern Crater. Later on, she and Tseng show up just in time to save Rufus from falling to his death.
